On my last morning at the Mandalay Bay hotel while walking past my favourite machine in the casino I couldn’t resist putting my last spare dollar in the machine to film it, i wasn’t really expecting to get any money back out, so that was nice… Its probably the best casino in vegas in my opinion!!

Wow, does sound amazing. Right now I have just compared Caesar’s hotel to The Hilton’s, huge difference with same specs of rooms. HIlton is half price, for Mandalay Bay it won’t let me check until I input details. My plan is to save more on accomodation and spend more on the tables.
@snaggypaggy – This is the biggest gambling city in the world, trust me you won’t run out of poker tables
no problem mate, I was staying in ‘The Hotel’ at the mandalay bay, it’s part of the mandalay bay complex which only houses suites. Staying in a huge suite for something like 6/7 days with upgraded flights both ways cost over £5000, however this was for 3 people (all in one big suite though). and that was without any food too, not cheap but well worth it, best holiday ever!!
Oh and also, are there many poker tables there? That is my game. Where did you manage to stay and how much did it end up costing you? I don’t mean to sound intrusive or anything alike just curious as I genuinely intend to book tickets right now online for summer:D.
Thanks for your response. Did you happen to view Caesar’s palace or The Hilton?
@snaggypaggy – This casino is the best i came across in my opinion, probably because it’s a newest one on the strip. The Mandalay Bay is a huuuuge place, 1 Billion dollar hotel and it shows, it’s huge. However nothing is cheap there, so you need a lot of money to stay there, and some to gamble when there too
How is it there, how are the other Casinos there?
I really want to go to Las Vegas.
@RuneFinity44 – This one didn’t seem to mind, i walked from one end of the loby to the other end of the casino (5 walk) with camera in plain view recording and didn’t get stopped, however i can understand the security reasons there…maybe i just looked innocent
Just be careful with the camara. Some casino’s don’t allow camcorders for “securty purposes” and will take them away if your caught with one.
@RuneFinity44 – indeed you are correct, following this i went and cashed in my ticket and then gave the cash to the hotel luggage guy as a tip…as i didn’t have any other US currency on me.
@ballm0use
I pretty sure you cash in the tickets for money.
hey on some machines, it says in the manual, max bet 90% payout and normal bet 85% payout. so in some cases, this guy is right.
lol its like a kids game. and collect a five buck ticket!? and free spins? LOL thats currency that can only be used in the CASINO. no money won! lol
Exactly :p Why I love going
[...] Slot machines @ The Mandalay Bay hotel, Las Vegas [...]
nope, you’re correct, haha, but it was a fun game none the less…
lol. am I wrong in saying you won a whole $2.50? I think its great how a machine goes crazy and makes tons of noise for winning like 5 bucks
If these were true mechanical/odds based slots this would be true, but on modern computer controlled slots it’s only going to let you win when it wants to, and as it’s programed to make money changing what you believe to be your odds doesn’t always make any difference…
what an idiot.
you ALWAYS play full lines. not that theres a lot of skill to slots, but playing as many lines as possible increases you odds and decreases the house edge.
Then I’m sure you’ll agree a very nice hotel it is!! I can’t wait to go back…
tthas the hotel i stayed at
yeah, I did come accross a couple of older types when i was there, but this one was my fav. it’s just so fun and addictive
wow they sure come a long way haven’t they!!
Got a love those Konami machines huh?
yesh, but i like the noises on our uk ones. and SUPER NUDGE
and such.
indeed, tis a shame, however if they were I’d be broke already….or rich
uk slot machines are nothing like this
